In the field hockey, on Thursday November 15th 2012, Malaysia is taking on Pakistan in a Sultan of Johor Cup Hockey tournament in Johor Baru, Malaysia. Malaysia had a good opening match of the tournament by winning against Germany by 3-2 while later on they had consecutive losses against New Zealand and Australia by 2-5 and 2-3. With this, now they are second last on the table after three league matches with 3 points.
After today’s match host Malaysia will left with their last league match on Saturday against India.
On the other hand, Pakistan not been had a good start of the tournament as drawn their opening match against New Zealand by 3-3 also had a outrageous loss from Aussies by 1-5. However, they again drawn with India to gained only 2 point in their three league matches and reside their place at the bottom of the table.
After playing today’s match against Malaysia they are left to be played against Germans to complete their last league match on Saturday.
Today win is very significant for both the teams as losing team will stands at the bottom of the table while winning team can disturb other teams positions. According to current performance and historical figures, Pakistan is having an edge over Malaysians, and by winning this match they will be no less than at 4th slot with 5 points.
