Investigators with the York Regional Police Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal motor vehicle collision in the City of Vaughan.
On January 29, 2014, at 4 p.m., a grey Honda civic travelling westbound on Rutherford Road east of Vaughan Mills Road, lost control and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The Honda collided with an eastbound white Toyota Rav 4. The Toyota was hit a second time by an eastbound silver Suzuki.
A passenger in the Honda, a 75-year-old man from Vaughan, was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries. The driver of the Honda and the driver of the Toyota were both transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the driver of the Suzuki was unharmed.
The investigation is ongoing.
