Three people charged in a Marihuana Grow Operation, Toronto

On Monday, November 1, 2010, the Toronto Police Service Drug Squad executed a search warrant at 88 Corporate Drive.

It is alleged that:

– during the execution of the warrant a large soil-based marijuana grow operation was located in a maintenance area above the boiler room on the roof of the building,

– police seized 2674 marijuana plants with a street value of approximately $2.6 million, as well as a large quantity of hydroponic equipment.

Mark Thomas Fortin, 54, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Produce Marijuana,
2) Possession of Marijuana For the Purpose of Trafficking (over).

Elizabeth Herczeg, 48, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Produce Marijuana,
2) Possession of Marijuana For the Purpose of Trafficking (over),
3) Possession of marijuana (under)

Jeremy Tavener, 35, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Produce Marijuana,
2) Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking in Marijuana (over).

They are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 10 a.m., room 101.
