As if young Riley wasn’t having a hard enough time dealing with growing up, her family uproots her from her Midwestern life and moves to San Francisco. As Riley and her emotions — Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) — struggle to adjust to her new life, turmoil ensues. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the others clash on how best to navigate a new city, house and school. Inside Out gives a totally fresh, comical and endearing spin on the concept of being on an “emotional roller-coaster.” Before the movie, experience The Music of Light, a stage show like you’ve never seen before. Dancers coached by So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Dave Scott will move and groove across the El Capitan stage amidst colorful 3-D LED illuminations. Plus, you’ll see the new Disney/Pixar short LAVA, a musical love story inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes.
