Sexual exploitation lead to one year’s jail sentence to N.B. man

On November 10, 2011, 72-year-old Armand Duguay, of Dunlop, N.B., appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court and was found guilty of one count of sexual exploitation of a young person while in a position of trust. The offences occurred against a male victim between 2002 and 2009.

Mr. Duguay was initially charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation, but was acquitted on the other three charges.

Armand Duguay has been sentenced to one year in jail, to be followed by one year of probation with conditions. He has also been prohibited from owning a firearm for a period of 10 years, and has been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for 10 years.
