Brampton man Jason Carlos charged with luring offences

Investigators with the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit have arrested an 18-year-old man following an investigation into luring offences.

Police began their investigation on November 8, 2011, after receiving information that a suspect was allegedly exploiting a 13-year-old boy sexually using web cameras over the internet.

On Thursday, April 12, 2012, investigators executed search warrants at a residence room at a south western Ontario university and at a residence on Larkspur Road, in the City of Brampton. A computer, along with external media and digital photographic equipment, was seized.

• Extortion

Mr. CARLOS has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket sometime this afternoon.

Investigators are concerned there may be additional victims or persons with information relating to this accused and are urging them to come forward if they had conversations with anyone at this email address of Kaytay_cutie@hotmail.com
