Hamilton police search for a sexual assault suspect

The Hamilton Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public with identifying a suspect involved in a sexual assault where the victim is a woman involved in sex work.

On Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 between the hours of 1:30 to 2:00 a.m., the victim was approached by the suspect at Barton St. E. and Westinghouse Ave. and there was an agreed upon payment for services.  The victim got into the suspect’s vehicle and they drove to the north parking lot of an abandoned building located on Victoria Ave. N. near Burlington St. E.

After the services were completed the victim was sexually assaulted.

The suspect fled in his vehicle and the victim fled on foot and the police were called.

The suspect is described as:  male, white, 5’10” to 6”, 225 lbs., large muscular build, 35-40 yrs., shaved head, clean shaven, well kept and no accent wearing a white t-shirt with a design or logo on the front.

The suspect vehicle is described as:  silver four-door older model car with dark tinted windows, clean interior and exterior with a child seat in the rear.

Hamilton Police have investigated similar incidents and believe there are other victims.
