The Ottawa police has recovered dead bodies of a 61-year-old woman and her 29-years-old adult son, trapped within a car scooped up from the Ottawa River. Donna Graves and her son, Daron Graves, were reported missing by her husband since Thursday night. Graves live only a footsteps away from the point of extraction of bodies.

David Graves shared that his wife and son headed out for playing pool at The Prior Sports Bar and Restaurant in nearby Arnprior, Ont., almost around 11 p.m. ET. He claims to have received a call sometime later from his wife, saying that she will be soon returning home, though she never did. David Graves has confirmed to the authorities on Tuesday that the bodies found in the vehicle are of his wife and son. Police has been in pursuit to find and extract the black 2013 Dodge Dart suspected to have sunk in river at Fitzroy Harbour near the Quyon Ferry for the last two days.

Initially, police confirmed that vehicle contained only one body inside, but later when it was extracted at about 11:40 p.m. ET Monday, the second body was found too. Police claims that the vehicle was pulled from the river by using explosives late on Monday night to blow a hole in the ice. The car was initially positioned on Saturday night, it had sunken deep in almost nine metres of water after plunging from a concrete pier at a ferry crossing. Police is currently investigating the deaths as a traffic collision.
