The Australian Open will take place at Melbourne Park on 13 January as the first Grand Slam of the year will begin on Monday.

This season will bring a lot of excitement as many top seeded players will participate and also World No 1 Rafael Nadal will make his comeback to the Australian Open as one of the favorites after missing out the 2013 edition. Nadal will enter the tournament after winning the Qatar Open earlier this month. Djokvic has won the title for three consecutive years and will face a stiff fight from the Spaniard to make it for the fourth successive time. Whereas Great Britain audience is expecting Andy Murray to grab another Grand Slam after he won the Wimbledon in front of his home fans in 2013.

In women’s singles draw, Victoria Azarenka has won the Australian Open for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013 and the World No 2 would be looking to extend the run for another year. The Belarusian could face competition from Serena Williams, who has also entered the tournament as one of the favorites.
