Other people’s relationship woes are mined for laughs in the Vagabond Players’ evening of hilarious one-acts, which features Woody Allen’s Central Park West, Frederick Stroppel’s A Chance Meeting and Thaine Allison’s Raising Kids, It Ain’t Easy. Woody Allen’s witty Central Park West is part homage to the Marx Brothers, part screwball comedy harkening back to the golden age of vaudeville, and part dissection of contemporary mid-life relationships. Stroppel’s A Chance Meeting is a saucy look at the perils of trying to add a little spice back to a long marriage. Finally, Vagabond Players’ own Thaine Allison presents her original one-act comedy, Raising Kids, It Ain’t Easy, and — spoiler alert! — it turns out it ain’t.
