On November 2, 2010, District 1 RCMP members on Grand Manan Island were called to Castalia, N.B. after a beachcomber discovered partial, skeletal human remains along the shoreline. The discovery was made within two kilometres of the site of skeletal remains discovered on the Castalia shoreline on October 15, 2010.

It is unknown at this time whether the remains are from the same person. The Coroner’s office has been contacted and ongoing forensic examination and DNA testing is being conducted to help establish identity.
