Police are appealing for information leading to the identity of the outstanding male suspect, involved in a robbery of a physically disabled 10-year-old boy, earlier this week.

On Monday November 1st, 2010 at approximately 5:40 p.m. officers from West Division responded to a street level robbery in the area of Senator Street and Waterford Gate in the City of Pickering. The mother of the 10-year-old victim, who suffers from a physical disability, witnessed the robbery and called 911. Both suspects slammed the boy to the ground face first and searched him, stealing his IPHONE. The male suspects were pursued by the victim’s mother who was able to retrieve the IPHONE. The victim suffered injuries to both his face and hand which will require further medical attention.

Investigators of the street level robbery unit have arrested one male party and seeking assistance to identify the outstanding male party. The male arrested was 12 years old from the Pickering area. His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The outstanding suspect is described as: male, black, with dark complexion, 5’4”, 15-16 years old, stocky build and wearing a white hoodie.
