The deceased male has been positively identified as seventy-three-year-old John Donald MacInnis. Foul play is not suspected.

Police are currently on scene of the discovery of a deceased male in Bayer’s Lake

At approximately 10 a.m., police responded to the discovery of a deceased male found behind a business on Chain lake Drive in Bayer’s Lake. The male was found by searchers of the Halifax Ground Search and Rescue Team. Halifax Ground Search and Rescue and Halifax Regional Police were conducting a search for a missing man, seventy-three-year-old John Donald MacInnis. At this time, a positive identification has not been made of the deceased male. An update will be sent out once a positive identification of the body has been made.
