Durham Regional Police have arrested and charged 26-year-old male after a woman was assaulted while sitting on a park bench in Oshawa.
On Wednesday July 4, 2012, just after 8 p.m. a woman and her son were sitting on a park bench at Centre and Athol Streets when a male approached and grabbed her inappropriately before hitting her in the face. The woman’s boyfriend intervened and a chase ensued toward Central East Division. Officers arrested and charged the male a short time later.
Jesse Wortman, age 26 of Lloyd Street in Oshawa is charged with Sexual Assault. He was released on an OIC Undertaking with Conditions.
