Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA)
The Hollywood and Broadway stars come out to shine in the Bowl’s full production of Mel Brooks’ 12-time Tony-winning musical comedy, The Producers. Richard Kind (Spin City, A Serious Man) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) trod the boards as Broadway producers Bialystock and Bloom, who come up with a con to create a giant flop but accidentally find themselves with a huge hit on their hands in Springtime for Hitler. Reprising their roles from the original 2001 Broadway production are Roger Bart and Gary Beach, with comedian Dane Cook and Rebecca Romijn featured as Franz and Ulla. Original choreographer-director Susan Stroman also returns to helm the show known for its hilarious Brooks’ tunes, including “I Wanna Be a Producer,” “When You Got it, Flaunt it” and “Prisoners of Love.”
