The award-winning Canadian folk duo Dala bring their infectious melodies and tight harmonies to Long Beach’s Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Amanda Walther’s ethereal soprano voice and Sheila Carabine’s velvety alto comprise their trademark lush harmonies that make them the darlings of the Canadian music scene. Walther and Carabine have five albums under their belts, including the 2012 disc Best Day, and have toured extensively across North America, including appearances at the Newport Folk Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. These winners of the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year draw inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and The Beatles — evident on their new single “Lennon and McCartney.”
