Joshua Terry is facing several charges including unlawful confinement, armed robbery, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of weapon dangerous to public peace and mischief. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on August 20, 2010 at 9:30 am to set a date for a bail hearing.
On August 15, 2010 at approximately 9:15 am Caledonia RCMP were dispatched to a hold up alarm at a convenience store on Biddington Avenue in Lakeville.
A man armed with a knife and barricaded himself in the store along with the female clerk. No one else was in the store at the time.
Several streets were blocked of as the RCMP emergency response team, a negotiator, RCMP police dog and several police officers were on scene.
During the noon hour, the suspect released the clerk and attempted to run from police. He was caught by officers behind the store in a wooded area. The clerk was not physically injured.
