The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Street Patrol Division have charged a twenty-eight year old female in connection to a report of cruelty to animals.

On Sunday, August 29, 2010 the female, an employee of Creature Care, was charged with cruelty to animals for her alleged involvement in the death of two cats, which she was supposed to care for. She will appear in court at a later date.

Throughout the course of the investigation, the RNC have no reason to believe that Creature Care had any knowledge or involvement in the actions leading the death of the complainants cats. Creature Care had subcontracted the highly recommended individual and conducted a thorough background and reference check before hiring her. Immediately following the report of misconduct by the employee, the contract was discontinued by Creature Care. The results of the investigation do not implicate the business itself, only the contractual worker.
