On Saturday, November 1st 2014 at approximately 7:08 p.m., a 19-year-old male was crossing Cootes Drive northbound in front of the McDonalds restaurant when he was struck by a westbound traveling Honda Civic.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. The HPS Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and has took carriage of the investigation
On Sunday, November 2nd 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the 19-year-old male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.
At the request of the family the victim’s name is not being released.
