"The Fabulous Lipitones"

A barbershop quartet that’s been belting out harmonies for 20 years suddenly loses its lead singer when he drops dead at the regional championships (“Sang his heart out,” one member says sadly). Now, these three middle-aged white men have to decide: break up or find a replacement? In the midst of their bickering, Bob, a mechanic from India, shows up, complete with a turban, thick accent — and absolutely gorgeous tenor voice. Now playing at Burbank’s The Colony Theatre, The Fabulous Lipitones is a lovable, crowd-pleaser of a show with joyous musical numbers.
