The power couple of Bollywood and Cricket, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, got hitched at a beautiful destination wedding in Italy on December 11 in the presence of their family and close friends. The pre-wedding functions comprised of Mehendi, haldi and sangeet ceremonies and the post-wedding function was a DJ party. Post their wedding, the newlyweds reportedly headed to Rome and Finland for their honeymoon.
Earlier this week, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma returned to New Delhi at Virat’s residence after their honeymoon trip to Finland and Rome. Last night, they had their first wedding reception in Delhi which saw many Indian cricketers, big-wigs and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as guests.
After meeting the guests, it was time for some music and dance. Obviously, the newlyweds who love dancing were the first ones to get on the dance floor and groove to Gurdas Maan’s music. They couple danced from everything Punjabi to Bollywood music. Anushka was seen dancing on ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ with Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. Virat was even seen dancing while carrying Shikhar’s son in his arms. Anushka was later seen with Shikhar’s baby boy sleeping in her arms.
At the Delhi reception, Virat looked dapper in a bandhgala sherwani with a printed shawl whereas Anushka wore a red Benarasi saree with heavy statement jewellery and sindoor. Both the traditional outfits have been designed by renowned fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who designed every wedding function outfit for the bride and the groom.
Now, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma will be returning to Mumbai and will live at their lavish Worli residence. They will be throwing a grand reception in Mumbai for all the celebrities from different sectors.
