West Indies aiming to win ODI series with New Zealand at the earliest opportunity when the teams meet in the third one dayer at Warner Park, St. Kitts on Wednesday.
West Indies have successfully won the first two matches of the series, taking the first contest by nine wickets and the second by 55 runs. Both those games were staged at Sabina Park, Jamaica and Chris Gayle has abled to dominate with an unbeaten 63 first up and a score of 125 in the second match where Marlon Samuels also reached three figures. Heading into the match on Wednesday, the Windies have opted for an unchanged squad from the win in the second ODI in Kingston that include: 1 Lendl Simmons/Johnson Charles, 2 Chris Gayle, 3 Dwayne Smith, 4 Marlon Samuels, 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Andre Russell, 8 Darren Sammy (capt), 9 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 10 Ravi Rampaul, 11 Sunil Narine.
A patched up New Zealand side did struggle hard for answers and Brendan McCullum, who was to be rested for this series, is now on route to St.Kitts and could be able to perform in case he arrives in time and in shape. The New Zealand bowling lacks penetration and aggression. Kyle Mills, with an economy rate of 4.13 in 15 overs, is the only NZ bowler to keep things relatively quiet, next best is Tim Southee who has been going for 5.41 runs per over. The New Zealand squad will include: 1 Rob Nicol, 2 Martin Guptill, 3 Daniel Flynn, 4 Kane Williamson (capt), 5 Dean Brownlie/Tom Latham, 6 BJ Watling (wk), 7 Jacob Oram, 8 Tim Southee, 9 & 10 Nathan McCullum/Tarun Nethula/Trent Boult, 11 Kyle Mills.
Pitch is spinner friendly and will support spin bowlers in grabbing wickets. The weather is also predicted to remain sunny with the low chances of rain.
