Shakuntala Devi: It’s a wrap for Vidya Balan, Sanya Malhotra’s UK schedule

Vidya Balan, Sanya Malhotra and the entire team of Shakuntala Devi kick-started their first schedule in an UK. After days of madness and a lot of fun, it is now time for them to return home! On Wednesday, they called it a wrap for their UK schedule. The next one is to take place in Mumbai.

Sanya took to Instagram to share a picture of the gang, everyone breaking out in a warm smile. 'And it’s a wrap!! Looking forward to the next schedule,' she wrote. Looks like a grand wrap-up party also took place! Check out the picture below.

While Vidya plays the titular role i.e. late Shakuntala Devi, Sanya will be seen essaying the character of her daughter, Anupama Banerji. Shakuntala, a mathematics wizard who was known as the world's fastest 'human computer', passed away in 2013. Her ability to solve difficult equations and calculations in a second without the help of any device earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records too.

Filmmaker Anu Menon, who earlier helmed London, Paris New York and Waiting, is directing Shakuntala Devi. The film is slated to release in summer 2020.
