Long Beach Shakespeare Company presents The Winter’s Tale at their Richard Goad Theatre. Star-crossed lovers, a banished child, a loyal servant, a clever thief — all are featured in Shakespeare’s roller-coaster-ride of jealousy, loss, love and reconciliation. The jealous King Leontes of Sicilia unjustly accuses his wife of infidelity and flies into a jealous rage. By the time he learns the truth, he’s lost his wife and two young children. However, years later, a miraculous turn of events brings a chance for redemption. LBSC conjures up Shakespeare’s dark fairy tale as never before.
