After the Test and ODI series the teams focus has shifted to the shortest format to bring the Sydney Crowd an entertaining show on Saturday.
Although Sri Lanka did not manage to win the ODI series but being the number one side in T20 format they are hopeful to win this series. The tourists are entering the match with a relatively settled squad. They own a bowler who is a greater threat with the ball in T20′s none other than Lasith Malinga and he is being relied upon to play a crucial part in this series. Mahela Jayawardene and Tillakaratne Dilshan are veterans of the format and Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perera have already proven to be game-changers. The probable Sri Lankan lineup will include: 1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Mahela Jayawardene, 3 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 4 Angelo Mathews (capt), 5 Lahiru Thirimanne, 6 Jeevan Mendis, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Lasith Malinga, 10 Ajantha Mendis, 11 Akila Dananjaya.
Australia is also a strong side. Aaron Finch has been incredible at domestic level but in the ODI series he looked out of sorts and hopefully his specialist format will help bring the best out of him at the top level. Finch along with David Warner can make a dangerous opening pair. Adam Vogues, Ben Laughlin and James Faulkner have also been rewarded for good performances in the recent Big Bash series and their presence in the squad will make it even more composed. The likely Aussies squad will include: 1 David Warner, 2 Aaron Finch, 3 Shaun Marsh, 4 Adam Voges, 5 George Bailey (capt), 6 Matthew Wade (wk), 7 Glenn Maxwell, 8 Ben Cutting, 9 James Faulkner, 10 Mitchell Starc, 11 Xavier Doherty.
