While Abhishek has gone a step ahead and invested in a kabbadi team, Amitabh has often accompanied his son for various matches including the recent cricket World Cup. However, their love for sports has now taken a form of legal battle as a case has been filed against the father and son for insulting National Flag, at the Ghaziabad court.

Chetan Dhiman has filed a complaint against Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan at the judicial magistrate court alleging that two had wrapped the national flag around them in an insulting manner during the India – Pakistan match, World Cup, that was held in Adelaide on February 15. According to Chetan's lawyer Sanjeev Sharma, Dhiman and five of his friends are witnesses of this incident wherein they saw the Bachchans sporting the national flag in a derogatory manner. Claiming that the megastar and his son has degraded India's reputation internationally, the complainant has filed the case under The Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, and the Flag Code of India 2002 and have also requested the court to summon them for the trial.

Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar's Piku while Abhishek Bachchan is currently gearing up for the release of Umesh Shukla's much postponed film All Is Well.
