Two Fredericton passengers die in a fatal motor vehicle crash

District 2 RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that claimed the lives of two people on Saturday nigth in Estey’s Bridge.

On Saturday, July 14, 2012 at approximately 11:20 p.m., a vehicle was driving southbound on Route 620 when it left the road and crashed into a ditch.  There were four occupants aboard the vehicle.  A 22-year-old Fredericton woman, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.  The other three occupants were rushed to Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital.  A 23-year-old man from Fredericton, also a passenger in the vehicle, later died in hospital.  The two other people were treated for their injuries and later released.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene to investigate the collision.  The investigation is ongoing.  

The names of the victims are not being released at this time until their families have been notified.
