Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11400 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 1:15 a.m. today (Nov. 26).
The male driver, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger, 27, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer D. Ashford reported:
The driver of a blue Ford Expedition was traveling southbound on the North Freeway when his vehicle stalled. The driver of a white Volkswagon Pointer then struck the rear of the SUV, killing the Volkswagon’s driver. The Volkswagon’s passenger was transported to an area hospital where he also died. The driver of the Expedition was not injured.
There are no charges in this case.
