Wealthy 1930s playboy Bobby Child wants to dance and nothing — including his mother and his soon-to-be-ex-fiancee — will keep him from his dream in the tap-dancing musical comedy Crazy for You. With a book by Ken Ludwig, music by George Gershwin and lyrics by Ira Gershwin, this fun show offers up comedy, romance, mistaken identity, plot twists and even a few cowboys thrown in to keep things interesting. Featuring a score that includes George and Ira Gershwin classics like “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and many more, Crazy for You earned three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, for its Broadway run.
