After winning the T20 series, Australia will look to dominate South Africa in the ODI series as well when they will face each other in the opening ODI match at Perth on Friday.

This series is regarded as of immense importance for both Australia and South Africa who will be looking to select a World Cup Squad only in a couple of months. There isn’t any better time and place for these two teams to perform and they will want to make the selectors’ job easy by giving their best performance. Australia bounced back and won the Twenty20 series in a close third encounter. The home side will also see a few of its stars returning to strengthen the squad as well. Steve Smith was the big out for Australia for this match and his replacement, Mitchell Marsh, will be under pressure to perform with bat and ball to cement his place in the team. The likely Aussies line-up will include: 1 Aaron Finch, 2 David Warner, 3 Shane Watson, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 George Bailey, 6 Mitchell Marsh, 7 Glenn Maxwell, 8 Matthew Wade (wk), 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Nathan Coulter-Nile, 11 Josh Hazlewood.

On the other hands, South Africa will have a number of stars returning to its line-up as well. Dale Steyn has plenty of beef against Australia and in particular, Michael Clarke, and you might see his speed increase especially on the WACA which is a dangerous proposition for the Aussies. The probable South African squad will include: 1 Hashim Amla, 2 Quinton de Kock (wk), 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 AB de Villiers (capt), 5 Rilee Rossouw, 6 David Miller, 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Vernon Philander, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Imran Tahir/Kyle Abbott.
