Yoga guru Swami Ramdev, who is on the ‘Swabhiman Yatra’ in the State, said that lack of a strict law to fight against corruption has contributed to the multiplication of implant cases in the country.

“The time is ripe to enforce a stern law to fight corruption which had badly affected the economic condition of the country. Due to corruption and black money, about 80 crore people have been left without a piece of bread,” Ramdev said while addressing a press conference at Nalbari on Wednesday morning.

The yoga guru further claimed that there is Rs 300 lakh crore Indian black money hideaways in foreign banks and Rs 100 lakh crore in various Indian banks. “If the Government takes steps to seize these amounts and use these for developmental work, we will witness the welfare of our nation eight times faster than in America,” he maintained. The yoga master opined that the high money circulation rate is another major factor for the massive corruption in India.

Ramdev said that though he has no political ambitions, he would try to float a new political outfit to gift a corruption-free nation to the people. “Within the next three years, I will adopt 600 villages in 600 districts as model villages which will be free from all types of disease and corruption.”

Referring to the Dr Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government, Ramdev predicted that the Prime Minister would be compelled to quit power soon for the alleged involvement of the PMO in the 2G spectrum scam.

Earlier, Ramdev took part in a yoga training camp held at Nalbari College field.
