Two Winnipeg men charged with robbery and assault

As previously reported, on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 at approximately 11:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service Members responded to an apartment within the 300 block of Kennedy Street for a report of an injured male.

Upon arrival, officers and emergency services responders located an adult male within a suite who appeared to have been assaulted.

Paramedics transported the 27 year old victim to the hospital in critical condition, where he remains.

An investigation by the Major Crimes Unit has resulted in the arrest of two suspects charged jointly with Robbery and Aggravated Assault:

Bobbi Melissa MCKAY, 27 years, also charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2.
John Raven WARD, 27 years, also charged with being Unlawfully at Large (Warrant of Arrest).

Both accused were detained in custody.
