Kedgwick couple Raoul Leclair and Nicole Leclair deaths confirmed as murder-suicide

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit, along with the Northeast District RCMP, have completed their investigation into the deaths of two people in Kedgwick.

The bodies of 64-year-old Raoul Leclair and 65-year-old Nicole Leclair, both of Kedgwick, were discovered outside their home on the evening of September 1, 2013.

Autopsies were conducted and evidence gathered. Police have determined that both died of gunshot wounds. There is no evidence to suggest that anyone else was involved in their deaths and police have determined it was a murder-suicide. As such, no charges will be laid. Due to there being no charges, no further details will be released.
