Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE.
On Friday, March 4, 2011, shortly after 11:50 p.m., units from the Sixth District were dispatched to the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE, to investigate the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, they located an adult female inside a residence in the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE unconscious and with no signs of life suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The decedent has been identified as 36-year-old Selina J. Knight of Southeast, DC.
